Community based ecotourism engages local residents into the business of ecotourism, interacting in the teaching of their rich knowledge and strong appreciation of their natural and cultural heritage this allows them to an income while conserving there environment. The Nature Conservancy trains local communities, indigenous and other local groups to develope and market hand crafted products as well as tour guided.
